Research And Design Of The Hospital Monitoring System Based ZigBee

ZigBee is a kind of emerging short distance, low complexity, low power loss, low data rate, and low cost wireless sensor network. It can coordinate and realize communication each other between thousands of small sensors according to IEEE 802.15.4 standard, and can complete the data gathering, the quantification, the processing, the integration and transmission. At present it is a new research focus of the wireless communication field, and has very wide application prospects in the industrial control, military and civil respect, like military reconnaissance, environmental monitoring, medical monitoring, space exploration, transportation and warehousing management, intellegent mine ,etc.The functions of the present Wireless Patient Monitoring system is very few, the present wireless patient monitoring device can only receive data from a few(l~8) patients in limited distance, without location information. By means of ZigBee network protocol and tech, we can construct wireless sensor network to the application of the patient monitoring and locating in large distance for hundreds of patients. Patients can get help and be salvaged in time by the doctors indicated by the locating system. The patient locating system is also assistance to contagion control, used for affirming and insulating contagion contactor, controlling people in infected area and cleaned area, specially helpful for the energing infectious diseases control of the SARS, bird flu and anthrax etc.Based on the studying of the ZigBee technology and standard in thorough, this thesis proposed the wireless sensor network solution for the patient monitoring and locating system and the contagion control system, and has designed the network system structure model and structure principle and thought. On the basis of researching and analyzing existing various kinds of ZigBee sensor characteristic and components, the thesis has done a lot of research work about the selection of node hardware and development tools of software, the sensor node work procedures, the terminal design, locating system database module design, software querue sockets for the military hospital information system databases, center monitoring software design, and the AODV router algorithms.
