With the fast development of Internet and portable equipments, users with portable equipments expect strongly that the current network can support the mobile host. Mobile IPv6 protocol is a mode that can resolve the transfer of IPv6 communication, which has the ability to retain the same IP address and maintain uninterrupted network and application connectivity while travelling across networks. This article deals with Mobile IPv6 which is based on the RFC3775. we analyse the Mobile IPv6 protocol , and discuss the security of Mobile IPv6 protocol in detail and the threat from the protocol, analyse three security mechanisms which are provided by the protocol, and researched some of simple schemes of safety in allusion to the threaten. The Dynamic Home Agent Address Discovery(DHAAD)procedure cannot be protected by IPSec because of the nature of itself. This article analyses an efficient scheme of protecting the DHAAD from Deny of Service attack and the theft of home network information. The scheme will make up a pitfall of a secured Mobile IPv6 protocol, and make the Mobile IPv6 communication more secured and reliable.
