Research And Implementation On Security Of FTP Based On IPv6 IPsec

FTP protocol is an application layer protocol which is based on TCP/IP network, whose main function is to transfer files between hosts, is widely used in the existing IPv4 network.With the development of the Internet, the limitations of IPv4 makes it increasingly unable to meet the requirements of the people, and IPv6 which redefined the address space completely solves the problem of shortage of IPv4 addresses, but also has been considerable improvement of the safety, quality of service, mobility, etc. IPv6 will become the standard network protocol of the next generation Internet. The security of FTP protocol has been a focus of the study, the security of IPv6 over IPv4 has greatly improved, IPSec security protocol isn't a necessary option on IPv4, while is a necessary option on IPv6. IPSec protocol is a security protocol for any Internet communications, and provides security to IP layer and above for the protocol layer. Therefore, it is particularly important to construct IPv6-based FTP application, and to research its security policy of IPv6 network. For these reasons, in this paper, the security policy of FTP protocol in the IPv6 network is researched. The specific details are as follows:Firstly, the FTP application and work mode in the IPv4 network is researched, and the new features of IPv6, such as IPv6 address representation, header are researched. On this basis, IPv6-based FTP is researched trough designed to support the IPv4 version of FTP technology.Secondly, the paper analyses the IPSec security protocol, analyzes the working principle and its various components, such as Authentication Header protocol (AH), Encapsulating Security Payload protocol (ESP), Security Association (SA), Key Exchange protocol (IKE).Finally, the paper analyses and researches the commands and work mode of FTP in the IPv6 network, and how to use IPSec to improve the security of FTP data transmission has been designed, and ultimately the FTP transfer test is researched with the host on the IPv6 protocol, the security of the FTP has been effectively improved under the protection of the IPSec.
