Research On Mobile IPv6 And It's Security Mechanism

With the improvement of technology, mobile communication and Internet are tending to be combined. Mobile network will be part of our daily life. It is not only means to connect Internet when we are moving, but also supplies a series of new services based on mobility such as searching local information, remote controlling tools and payment, etc. As the next generation network layer protocol which designed as a successor to IPv4, IPv6 have some new characteristics include better support for mobility. Mobile IPv6 is part of IPv6. It is a protocol which allows nodes to remain reachable while moving around in the IPv6 Internet. Each mobile node is always identified by its home address, regardless of its current point of attachment to the Internet. According to IMT2000, every communication system must support Mobile IP packet services. IPv6 has become a chance to combine computer network and communication network.This document deals with Mobile IPv6 which is based on the RPC 3775(Mobile Internet Protocol version 6). In the document we talked about some particular problems about Mobile IPv6. And we also analyzed the security architecture of MIPv6. At last we took some advices to improve on the traditional method in setting up IPSec SA between mobile node and its home agent.
