LCD Embedded Multimedia Player System Design

LCD multimedia technology is the mainstream of today's technology research both in the field of multimedia and liquid crystal display. Under the background of the development of LCD technology, the display platform of multimedia transits gradually from the traditional CRT displays to digital LCD screen. Multimedia decoding ways are also developing from the soft decoding using generic CPU on audio and video files to the hard decoding using professional multimedia CPU on multimedia files.With the characteristics of highly integrated, high stability, features customized, low-power, high security and cost-effective, embedded system becomes the mainstream of research and development in today's application field. It is with a high technology research and economic significance to use the embedded system to driven large-size LCD screen, which widens the systematic program scope of people choosing driven large-size LCD screen.This paper introduced a multimedia player system to drive large-size LCD screen which is based on the embedded system. It introduces the design idea of the entire system in details and comes out with the overall design of the system, the definition of interface among all modules, operational principle and work flow. The system adopts professional multimedia hard decoding chip for decoding multimedia files. The main chip transmits the video data to the LCD module in the form of digital output and then the multimedia content will be displayed on the LCD screen through the LCD module. The system verifies that the multimedia files stored in the system memory device can be displayed on the 15 to 32-inch LCD screens, which meets the scheduled functional requirements of the design.
