Research Of Network Management System Based On MAS

The research of MAS technology in the field of network management are increasing, and mainly used in fault diagnose of the complex environment and so on. For the problem of heterogeneous MIB in multi-vendor network equipment, in the current adopt abstract MIB view, etc., These methods compared to the traditional network management approach, although improve the efficiency of data processing, but their complexity will be multiplied increase with the species of network equipment have increase. This paper tries to solve these problems by MAS technology.In the paper the author makes the following contribution:(1)Discussed the content of the MAS and network management , and analysed the defects of the traditional centralized network management.(2)In the multi-vendor network environment,It's difficult to develop traditional Integrated Network Management System because a large number of vendors define private MIB to expand management capabilities. For this issue, this paper presents a multi-Agent network management method, that can use distribute technology to solve the bottleneck of Centralized network.(3)For the problem of the great growth of MIB, network management system based on Multi-Agent deduces the network equipment port attributes and running condition through a multi-diagnosis and expert-coordinated approach without the MIB information.(4) Test results show that the system not only has good intelligence and self-learning ability, but also reduces the occupancy of network resources, and greatly alleviate the burden of network management system. It can carry out the normal operation of multi-vendor network and ensure the security.
