With the development of computer, network and communication technology, the use of network images based on broadband technology has been gradually promoted in video surveillance network. "Globe Eye" is a newly value-added service promoted by China Telecom on purpose of remote video monitor, transmission, storage and management based on broadband. It makes use of existing broadband network run by China Telecom, gathering separate images in different places, in order to surveil together, store together, manage together and share resource among regions.This paper mainly studies the real-time requirements of response speed in video surveillance system. After analyzing "Global Eye" video surveillance system's structure and in-depth studying the quality of services and performance of core module Center Management Server (CMS), the way CMS accesses database, which is the key cause that impact system's response speed was found out.This paper describes the identify steps, overall solutions and settlement process of finding out the impact of service performance. Through comparison of correlation models, the paper elaborates the way of system access database and further analysis the related issue of coordination, and then, a better solution which uses asynchronous call ODBC interface to access database was raised.And also, this raised solution was tested in this paper, and after comparing the response speed on both user login and equipment register, the improved system's excellent performance was certificated, after this, we can achieve the goal that make this improved system respond more quickly and process timely.
