Since the rapidly development of informationalize, the quantity of information resource is increasing daily. Peoples' demands to the information are bigger, the request higher, the level deeper, and gradually to personality. Therefore how to use these data effectively for service is becoming a question. Data mining is a tool to solute such questions. Library has huge information data. If we can segment and Comb these numerous and disorder data scientific, mining the conceal information behind the data, forecasting the information demand of the reader, grasping the regulation of the readers' borrowing and reading, the potential and value of the library would be releasing mostly. This is also the basic of the library individualized service.In this paper, the content can be roughly divided into three parts:This paper begins with introduction to the crisis management of library public relations, in which reasons of writing the subject, the significance of issues, the status quo, objectives, as well as methods of present research are discussed.The second part, the main content of this paper, consists of five chapters, from chapter two to six. In Chapter two, I defined the basic concepts involved in this paper—data mining. In Chapter three, I analyzed the present situation of the library individualized service firstly. Then it drew from the necessity of the using of data mining in library individualized service system. At last it studied the feasibility through analyzed the successful case in Domestic and abroad. This chapter is linking the preceding paragraph and Carrying forward the following chapter.Chapter four and five are the focus of this paper, which described the detailed explanation of the data mining applying to the library individualized service. Chapter four indicated the characteristics, principles and key factors in data mining implying into library individualized service. According to the analysis of example, the author analyzed the algorithm used in library. In chapter five, the author designed and constructed the data mining system in library individualized service. Chapter six includes the challenges of the data mining would face to in library individualized service.The third part is the ending of the article, including the conclusion and the appendix. The conclusion part covers the overall summary and the prospects toward follow-up research. The author gave some personnel viewpoints about data mining applying to library individualized service. It also explained the importance and necessity of doing such a research on library. In appendix, a series of reference books and Websites are listed, including English and Chinese editions.
