The Application Of Data Mining In Individualized Recommendation Service Of College Library

In this paper,the application of data mining technology to library management can obtain useful information by analysis of readers' borrowing record,can recommend readers interested books through these information,at the same time,can give advice in book purchasing,and finally can provide advice to adjust the library collection layout.In this paper,SPSS Modeler is used to study the process of date acquisition and data mining in personal recommendation system.Clustering analysis technology and its application in library are studies,and the grade,majors and interests of readers in cluster analysis are studied.Through K-means algorithm,the readers are divided into several similar user groups,and in the same user group,different readers have the same characteristics.Association analysis technology and its application in library are studied.By applying Apriori algorithm to the similar user groups,the internal relation between readers and books is found.By analyzing the results of data mining,based on the J2 EE framework and adopting the B/S architecture,a personalized recommendation system based on the original library management system is designed.According to the reader's borrowing records and books recommended records,personalized recommendation system can recommend books to readers.At the same time,the “cold starting problem ”of the new books is solved,consequently the utilization rate of the books is enhanced and service level of the library is improved.
