In the late 1970s, foreign language teaching programme launched in CCTV. Foreign language teaching programmer as a fresh type of transmission has been welcomed by the masses of English fans. Foreign language teaching programme from its birth to today, has its own development path and also a certain impact. Therefore, the research on the foreign language teaching programmer has become an unavoidable topic.English as a common language in the world has showed its growing importance. With the development and popularity of electronic media, the way of teaching English is undergoing a historic change, the educational model is transmitting from the print age into the information age. It means that traditional teaching method has changed, that is, from 1 "You teach I study" one-way communication model to the "interaction between you and me" two-way communication model.This paper takes "Foreign Language Teaching television show" as core, in the context of popular culture, from three aspects: communications, television context and foreign language acquisition to study the best way of connection between television and foreign language teaching.This paper uses the case study method of qualitative social science research methods, through the analysis of the characteristics of cases is to infer an universal law. Among the many foreign language teaching television programmes, the paper selected CCTV influential . In the process of carding the development of , this paper focuses on the reasons of this programme' revision and changes.After the revision of "Outlook", It is better suitable for the characteristics of transmission, it reflects in six aspects: series of play, using spoken language, connection of television sounds and paintings, the story content strategy, the marketing strategy, and programme interaction.
