Currently, there are many Real-Time systems used in finance, telecommunication, aerospace, national defense and other areas. These systems are, by designed, more large and complex by reason of special needs. At the same time, the whole system shows more characteristics of heterogeneous, distribution and loosely coupled. The traditional system architecture has been unable to meet the demands of such systems. How to correctly and effectively design the suitable architecture has become essential to archive for the entire system. Event-Driven Architecture is new software system architecture. Its main feature is that the architecture pattern promotes the production, detection, consumption of, and reaction to events. This paper analyzes the advantage of EDA compares with traditional architecture and feasibility of event processing based on EDA in details. Come to a conclusion that EDA is very suitable in design and implementation of loosely coupled services and software components of the Real-Time system.The Real-Time stock trade reporting system R designed and complemented in this paper is an update for the original prototype of relative old system since MiFID will soon replace ISD. The target is that system R must matching, filter and interactive process large number of trade event data from stock trading system, then system R transforms the trade event to another special event format and reports to third party terminal(BOAT). The large event flow, distribution and loosely coupled shown by R system, higher response demand, all these characteristics are very in line with intention of EDA, so the paper tries to research and design system R by using SEP, ESP and CEP based on EDA. During the process, Apama and MonitorScript are used as event processing platform and EPL respectively.Finally, this paper researches and analyzes the implementation result of R system then gives some idea for the optimization and improvement of R system in the future.
