Along with the globalization, the informationization speed up day by day and the knowledge economy time arrival and the network technology is universally promoted and utilizated, the network echnology are more and more widely applied in the periodical edition publication domain. In such circumstances, to make the technical periodical edition work modernization, the computer network technology and the editor work are organically integrated.The traditional edition work pattern is adjusted and changed, and the networking method is used to provide quickly, accurately, the effective service for the edition work, realizes online contributor, online to examine and approve papers, online edition method and so on, thus this promotes the technical periodical comprehensively the overall quality.Regarding the journal of technology, the paper's effectiveness is specially important, while the two important factors in the journal of technology publication are author contribution and the expert to examine and approve papers, is the key continuously to restrict its work flow and the papers processing cycle.The traditional delivery method of contribution and the edit papers is expensive and long time, is easy losed and stayed long.It bring the nonessential trouble and the loss for author, the editorial department and the edit expert. With the development of network ,the email appears,although the traditional manuscript delivery expenses is reduced, the time has saved by transmission manuscript through E-mail, there are some other problems, for example, the e-mail causes virus, manuscript not standard, repetition contribution. Therefore, in order to reduce editor's work load, improve the working efficiency, reduces the processing time from the author submitting a papers to editor processing to the expert reviewing a draft, a online papers processing system design is imperative.A kind of papers remote processing system based on ASP is introduced.This system is supported by SQL Server 2000 databases and uses the dynamic homepage ASP technology as main development platform.Through editorial department's actual demand analysis, a papers remote processing system based on the browser/server three lays structure is designed.This system realises a series of functions,such as the author online contribution/inquiry , editor's online edition/choice experts, sending papers to expert,and expert's online refressing and so on.A popular development technology of Web application—ASP is used in this system.As a script-programming environment of server,it combines HTML language,script code and server package together organically,can be used forestablishing Web application,which has interactive dynamic webpage andfunction of database visit. Watching from technological aspect of software,ASP has somecharacteristics such as:can exist without compiling,easy to produce,independent of browser,Orient-Object,source codes can't leak.Read from theaspect of application,ASP can deal with the form from browser input towebsite server;can visit and edit server database,read and write Web file ofserver,realize the function of visiting the counter.This article first introduces the research background and the research significance of the papers remote processing system based on ASP, as well as the system related function, system-related. Afterwards introduces the main technology correlation with the system, including dynamic homepage ASP technology and characteristic and comparison with other dynamic homepage technology; ODBC technology and chooses the database. Then has carried on the system demand analysis, the system system design, the system database design as well as some codes and the main contact surface realization of the system.This system design includes various functions module design and database structure design. There are three functions module in the system,such as author submits paper module, the editor processing module and the expert refress module, and carries on the analysis and design to it separately. Namely authors when first contribution need to carry on the registration, after the success may carry on according to the password and user registers the authentication, carry on the contribution, the inquiry paper condition, the revision manuscript and the examination edition notice and so on; The editors after registers may complete online receive the manuscript, edition, choice edit expert, sends the papers to the proper expert ;the experts after to register the manuscript can review the paper the editor send for online.These three function module is designed based on the ASP technology, both has considered the function realization under the net environment , and distinguish the different user to use the system influence on the system and the relations to each kind of moduleand guarantee the system security. The database structure is designed by the method based on the relational model, the database design satisfied the demand of the system, for ease of revises and saves the storage space, the table structure must satisfy certain function dependence.During the period of the entire software performance,we were accordeing to the software engineering request, followed the design concept of the software engineering, carried on the design according to the project method, reorganizes the corresponding documents. Through to, I have the detailed understanding to the papers remote processing system based on ASP by the system design.I can clearly understand the entire process of a software project from analysis to design. Through this system design,we summarized the experience and the lesson in the actual system design,and fully understood the guiding sense of each kind of development pattern in the system design,it is help to my next development work.
