In recent years, along with the rapid development of regional economic integration and the inherent need for the development of newspaper Industrialization, The trend of the regional development of newspaper industry highlights. Meanwhile, the problems that exist in regional development of newspaper industry have been exposed.In order to study difficulties and counter-measurements for the regionalizing development of newspaper industry, many research means were adopted, such as the literature analysis, comparative study, case studies and interviews.In my opinion, the regional development of newspaper industry led by urbanization of newspaper industry has four features: spontaneous, dynamic, regional, diversities of operation. This thesis focuses on several major difficulties for the regional development of newspaper industry from both government management and newspaper development, such as management practice, management system, the news gathering and editing, newspaper management and homogenization. These problems seriously affect the healthy development of the regional media. Finally, preliminary proposals to solve these problems have been given, including make preparations before the regional expansion of newspaper industry, establish management system of regional media, combine social supervision and media self-discipline, ensure localization and avoid homogenization, try to achieve regional development through the media cooperation.The problem analysis based on a large number of practical cases is the characteristic of this paper. Meanwhile, using individual newspaper as "point" and Xiamen press as "cross-sectional", this thesis typically inspected the regional development of newspaper industry.
