Plating is a sort of way to change solid material surface characteristic. It is approximately divided into DC plating,cycle reversing plating and pulse plating.To adopt pulse plating can obtain more excellent plating layer performance than the traditional DC plating. Distributed control system (DCS) is new a type automatic control system, with the product process focusing on monitoring and managing, controling dispersedly. DCS is based on micro-computer, and using data communications putting the process together. This paper presents a low-cost method of constructing distributed control system aiming at the field of controlling the pulse plating power.In this paper, it gives the detailed description with popular DCSs nowadays,basing on the theory analysis, adopting the method of DCS at controlling the plating power present, and proposes a low-cost high-reliability programme with Human-Machine Interface and fieldbus. From distributed control network selection to the system hardware system design and debug, and to some system software architecture design and debugging , The paper carried out a detailed description.The system adopts interactive Human-Machine Interface as a system platform, not only simplifies the hardware design and enhances system reliability, but also reduces the monitoring software programming difficulty.With the bottom of the development of autonomous control terminals, the 18-Plating power Distributed control is developed finally.The Installation and operation of the system proved that this is a low-cost high-reliability control project of pulse plating power.
