Design And Implementation Of EAI Based Electronic Policing Portal

There were a large number of operational subsystems in the public security departments. They were created of their own due to historical reason. With the development of modern electronic policing, it is necessary to integrate these dispersed and heterogeneous applications by method of enterprise application integrate. The integrated portal is a kind of integrating, classifying and visiting police affairs information method. It provides police officers and the people with access to public security within a unified information platform. The electronic policing integrated portal not only integrated information resources of public security department, at the same time also integrated various applications in the public security departments.The key of integrating electronic policing applications is to resolving the inter-application interoperability issues. This paper researched current portlet standard. In view of the lack of portlet standard to support interoperability, it expanded the portlet container, and proposed a kind of integrated framework on that basis. Within the framework, it packaged applications using portlet, resolved the problem of inconsistence between data model and invoking interface. By the interactive of cooperating logical in portlet container, it achieved the interaction communication among different portlet and eventual realization of synergies work among integrated applications.Based this application integration framework, we realized the prototype framework by internet portal and intranet portal of Xiamen Public Security Bureau. This prototype expanded the portlet API, provided the unified integrated applications date model IADM and interface model IAIM to package the applications. It defined the cooperating logic in the portlet container by the form of rules. It defined portlet container as a mediator, indirect realized the communication between integrated applications.By the construction of the internet portal and the intranet portal of Xiamen Public Security Bureau, we achieved the Electronic Policing Integrated Portal, resolving the integration of dozens of independent systems, saving development funds and time, reaching the requirements on system information construction of Ministry of Public Security within more short time.
