The power grid harmonic pollution problem is getting severe due to the using of nonlinear load in modern power system. These changes have brought great harm to secure and economical operation of power network. How to realize the treatment of grid harmonic pollution and the improvement of customer electric power quality have already become one of the topics of the importance research of modern electric power system. To solve the electric power electronic equipment and the other harmonic wave of the harmonic wave source pollution problem equip filtering compensation device is mostly installed. However, the adoption of active filter technique a kind of reasonable, valid means to solve modern electric power quality problem.The single-phase active power filter is designed in the text based on instantaneous active and reactive energy transfer system. It takes regulating input active energy as a target, directly carries on control to the input electric current, avoids the tedious process of traditional examination active and reactive current component. The whole system adopts double closed loop control and has good harmonic compensation performance.Aiming at three-phase three-wire and three-phase four-wire system, a kind of control approaches for the active power filter based on improved generalized instantaneous reactive power method is designed in the text, the method is more simple than former, and have the ability of filtering out fundamental current reactive component which former instantaneous reactive power theory can not solve. Especially three-phase four-wire active power filter hardware has simple structure with only three group switch device.According to the disadvantages of the low utilization rate of DC voltage and high harmonic content in triangular carrier linear control method, three-phase active power filter space vector control method is designed based on method of further improving generalized instantaneous reactive power.In addition, various active power filters are designed in the text which can regulate arbitrarily on power factor, active power filter with SVG function is realized.Finally, good simulation results illustrate that various active power filters are designed in the text can compensate harmonic and reactive power of the system, have good dynamic performance. Moreover, three-phase four-wire active filters can suppress zero line current, and solve symmetric problem of system effectively.
