The Study And Implementation Of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System Based On XML

With the rapid development of computer technique, information processing, internet technique and the spread of its use, the development of health information system which related to everyone is also swift. One of the key steps to build a scientific and efficient Hospital Information System is realize EMRS. The kernel of a late-model Hospital Information system based on the clinic Information of patient is to establish EMR. XML( Extensive Markup Language)is one of the most popular standards to describe semi-structure data such as Medical Record. The problem such as description, store, and treatment of EMR can be efficiently resolved by XML. At the same time, it also has a friendly interface when extending to Internet. Based on XML we give some interesting things on the study of EMRS.CDA standard is a EMR construction in medical field issued by organization of HL7, it is standard for implementation of Electronic Medical Record System and provide exchange model for clinic document. This thesis solves the problem of EMR's model by using standard of CDA as EMR construction, and solves the difficult problem of EMR's share and exchange. In addition, this thesis use Smart Document as EMR editor, solves another problem of EMRS.This thesis has a comprehensive research on EMR and XML, and point the inevitable integrity of EMR and XML. We design data structure of EMR according to HL7/CDA Standard, give the methods about definition of EMR based XML Schema, describing of XML document and its display. The key data structure and important module are put forward after finishing analysis and design of EMRS. We found a simple EMRS and research the security in EMR basically.
