With the rapid development of network technology and wireless access technology, accessing to Internet anytime and anywhere has been urgently required. Being the core technology, Next Generation Mobile Internet has attracted great attention. Correspondingly, the network management for mobile Internet has been put on a key position. In this paper, the Network Management System for Mobile Internet is designed and realized based on deep research of the mobile Internet protocol family.At first, the paper summarizes mobile Internet, network management model and network management protocols. Then emphatically analyzes the aim and protocol family of mobile Internet including MIPv6 protocol, FMIPv6 protocol, HMIPv6 protocol, and NEMO protocol. The network entities defined by the protocols and working procedures of the protocols are the main contents of the analysis.Based on the analysis of mobile Internet's architecture and mobile protocols, and aiming at the characteristics of different network entities, the MIBs (Management Information Base) which could reflect the entities' working states are designed. Common MIB, MN MIB, HA MIB and CN MIB are designed for MIPv6 protocol. Common MIB, MN MIB and AR MIB are designed for FMIPv6 protocol. Common MIB, MN MIB and MAP MIB are designed for HMIPv6 protocol. MR MIB is designed for NEMO protocol. The paper emphatically analyzes the design consideration and management function of each management object in the MIB.Then the paper presents a model for implementing the management system, which comprises nine modules including topology discovery, functional entity management and assistant processing, etc. The working procedure of each module is emphatically specified. In order to improve the management functions of the system, an algorithm for IPv6 topology discovery and a method to realize the visual operation interface are designed and added to the system.The detailed test results are shown at the end of the paper.
