With rapid development of the national economy, the railway transport capacity shortage has also become increasingly prominent. The marshalling station as the most important node on railway network assumes assembling and disassembling cargo train task. The new generation of computer application system - Synthetic Automation of Marshalling Yard starting with plan auto-generation, integrating management, scheduling and control, has solved the present problems that the marshalling station exists, which has greatly improved the level of automation and efficiency of the marshalling station. The core of SAM is plan's auto-generation. The focus of this paper - automatically generating marshalling plan for district local train is an important proportion and difficulty of plan's auto-generation. Its use can greatly reduce the burden of plan-maker and advance the efficiency of planning and plan's quality, speeding up marshalling process. The main works of this paper are as follows.First, the SAM system is analyzed. This thesis introduces this project's background, its targets and the major channels. How to solve present problems of the marshalling station and the central role of plan's auto-generation are explained.Second, this thesis studies implementation of each marshalling mode of district local-train, including station sequence marshalling, group marshalling and mixed marshalling.Third, the optimization theories on marshalling of district local train are studied, which can improve marshalling efficiency greatly. Under condition of the fewest linking hooks, we can take adjustable carriage group, carriage crossing, bottom carriage, end carriage into account in order to achieve the lowest sliding hooks.Fourth, the flexibility is studied to make program with strong adaptability. The consideration for insufficient railway roads is an example.The research results of this paper have been used in Xinfengzhen marshalling station successfully, meeting the station's requirement and achieving satisfactory results.
