Integrated Capillary Electrophoresis chip (ICEC) involves with biology, microelectronics and MEMS. It is a very high speed electrophoresis analyzer which integrates channels, electrode groove in a single chip. The analysis device has merits such as efficiency, high speed and sample-saving. It is used in many fields like biochemistry, environment detection and pharmacy more and more widely.The paper overviewed development of ICEC, explained the mechanism of ICEC, and introduced electrophoresis theory, separation theory, and the method of sampling and detect. Then we discussed the design of detect channel structure of the chip and Conductance Method detect electrode of ICEC. We brought forward two types of electrode structure design, used in contact and Non– contact detect separately. Later we introduced the materials, PDMS and PMMA, to make ICEC. We studied the electrophoresis chip manufacture process using PDMS and PMMA. Besides, a showpiece of ICEC was produced. In the discuss of process of the chip, ammonia water bonding, oxygen ion bonding of PDMS chip, and hot-bonding of PMMA chip were invited, more of that, Second-formwork to make PDMS CE chip was raised.At last, the paper detailed the problems and solutions encountered in the detect experiment, including buffer selection and fill, predisposal of sample section, channel cleaning and chip maintenance during the experiment. We acquired the images, including the exceptive ones when there was a fault. Also we got the expected peak by detect using Conductance Method, analyzed the experiment results, verified the rationality and feasibility of the chip design, which has set up a foundation for the next-step research.
