On-line signature verification technology as one of the biological characteristic recognitions has the widespread application because of the high receptivity, easier operation and low cost. The on-line signature verification system generally uses the client/server pattern to realize the remote signature verification. How to realize the remote on-line signature data acquisition and transmission becomes the research task.This thesis mainly introduces a solution of designing an on-line signature data acquisition system based on the Ethernet technology and is realized by the high performance C8051F020 microprocessor. The main work of this paper is as follows:Firstly, the application characters of on-line signature technology in the exam test system are analyzed. Compared to several communication interfaces, it proposes one kind of remote on-line signature system solution based on the Ethernet technology.Secondly, it introduces the construction of remote on-line signature system based on the C/S pattern, and separately introduced the function on the server and client. It summarizes the composition of the server system, includes the main control module, the signature data acquisition module, the signature display module and the Ethernet communication module. Then it introduces the basic principle as well as the circuit design and the realization of the modules.Thirdly, the software design of the server including the Ethernet driver, on-line signature data acquisition and display,TCP/IP stack are mainly analyzed in the paper. Focus on the application characteristic, the traditional TCP/IP stack is simplified in the system. It has mainly realized ARP, IP, ICMP and TCP protocols. And the simplified TCP/IP stack is loaded in the server. It also shows the running effect picture and carries on the related tests about the performance of TCP/IP stack.Finally, it realizes a remote on-line signature data acquisition system based on the TCP/IP stack. The paper separately introduced the realization process and partly program of the server and the client. It also gives the picture of system running effect and the format of the signature data which has saved in the client.
