The computer network has developed rapidly in recent years and applied widely in each aspect of the society, including production-scheduling, advertisement, process control, planned management, personnel management and financial management, etc. In our country, the computer network has applied in power system early and became a mature technology so that it developed a more and more important role in the progress of power system. Owing to the excellent function of network, The Production Management Information System has applied widely in electric power enterprises.Research on The Production Management Information System of electric power enterprises, The most basic function is to reflect the actual condition of the spot to the customer in time and dependablely. Wherever we are, with the help of this system, we can know actual condition of the spot in time and accurately. This text, based on the extensive need of the production management information system in local power system as foundation and the process of the development of it in MUDANJIANG hydraulic power plant, has done a series of studies for the design and compilation of the production management information system(including the design of arrangement of network, foreground application and service application, the choice of Databases and development tools, etc.),in order to make full use of it in electric power enterprises and introduce the method of design and compilation of similar system in detail.Finally, this text combine an actual circumstance of MUDANJIANG hydraulic power plant and discuss some problems that the optimal generation problem of cascade hydroelectric plants in a competitive power market is presented in this paper. A linear moving mean auto regression model has been developed to forecast the marginal price of the system. The model by using genetic algorithms is presented to attain the total day generation. These results can be the basis of declaring power price and electric energy and acquire an obvious economic performance.
