With the rapid development of the information technology, it has always been the major problem confronted by the working personnel of the information system to effectively manage a large amount of data derived from the operating process, the system of electronic tax collection was built, A vast number of data has been collected and how to make use of the enormons data?This paper has introduced several pieces of key technology in the course of putting up the date warehouse in detail: the data collect, store managing and data display. Star type model is one of the data models of designing the data warehouse. The system of data warehouse based on tax collection is a multi-layer system. It has tow original databases .The tax collection database is the main of the ones. By the method of data-drive we analyze and design the title of tax collection of the data warehouse particularly. By using query optimization, database index, middle database and automatic data update technique, the performance of the data warehouse is enhanced. Data mining and OLAP is a hot topic, and how to find useful information from the large number of data is the keystone of the topic. To use the data mining technique in operation system of tax, we put forward some data mining topics of the tax system, and analyze the model of collectivity complexion of tax department's collection. The algorithm of fuzzy data mining is the key of the model.To building a perfect DW is a hard work. To receive the destination is long time road. We must know more things about the tax operation, and reinforce the more topic of the data warehouse. At the end of paper, the future of DW in tax department is introduced.
