Laser flexible fabrication technology, which combines the advantages of both laser and flexible fabrication technology together, has been successfully applied to industries such as microelectronics IC manufacturing. Laser micro-cladding technology, as a flexible processing technology, is wildly focused and supposed to have many future applications in fast fabricating thick film circuit board in the past years, of which designing professional micro processing platform CAD/CAM software with the intelligence property by ourselves is very important for its engineering applications.In this dissertation, following research work has been done about the laser microcladding technique:Firstly, a novel key technology for developing 2D(two-dimension) CAD graphic software based on the Microsoft Windows Graphic Device Interface(GDI) is presented, including the object oriented system modeling, basic graphic data structure design, 2D vector graphs display and transform, and interactive graphic processing techniques. Secondly, the store data structure of the Protel PCB layout ASCII file and AutoCAD DXF file have been fully analyzed, and read/write interfaces for both types of files have been designed, which can effectively extend the professional thick film circuit design ability for our CAD/CAM software.Thirdly, the structures about layout and routing in the thick film integrated circuit board has been discussed in detail, on the basis of which the design and computational formula for thick film passive electronic elements were studied systematically, and some significant results were obtained.Finally, the multi-layers direct write processing function of the software were verified by direct fabrication of the thick film flat capacitor with laser micro-cladding technique. The experimental results demonstrated tha the technological key of fabricating thick film flat capacitor is the preparation of the dielectric film with certain thickness. The electrical performance of the thick film flat capacitor shows thatit have good insulation characteristic, low dissipation factor and relatively high quality factor in the medium frequency from 100KHz to 1MHz. Laser microcladding technique has provide a novel method to fabricate the capacitors with high quality and excellent performances.
