Cellulose is an important product that is widely used in industry field. Nowadays the production of cellulose in China is still behind that in developed countries.The trend of the development of cellulose production is presented. The control system and principle of control apparatus are analyzed in detail. A visual control platform to help us implement the real system is also designed. Based on the program of the cellulose production, the software of the control system is designed. The monitoring and control system for the production consists of industry computer and PLC. The human machine interface and the monitoring and control are developed. Considering the feature of the control system, the software of PLC is modularized and programmed as different function. User can control the apparatus flexibly with the monitoring and control system.The implementation of the control system based on SIMATIC PLC and WinCC is also discussed. The function of the system, hardware constitution, communication and software design are described in details.The control system for the production of cellulose has already been testified, and it works well in the field.
