With the development of the technologies of computer network and Internet, web information system becomes a important part of human's life. The applications based on Browser/Server structure make great progresses with its merit on general availability, easy usability and good expansibility.With the long running time, there were a number of important data to be created in network information system, and the system itself is increasingly unable to meet their business needs. Therefore, the transformation and upgrade of the old information systems become an urgent demand. Jakarta Struts,which combining two of the most popular server-side implementation of the Model-View-Controller pattern, and it has been proved to resolve web system design problems by developing and practice.During the implement of an power station information system's upgrade, from needs analysis, and combined with the Struts technology research and analysis based on the completion of the model-view-controller framework for the system design, and use of the technology for the Jakarta Struts achieve. Settled the system encountered in the process of transforming the preservation of important data and simplify the man-machine interface, the operation of the database optimization problems. enhance the system's efficiency, reusable ability, extensible ability and reduction of the cost of system.
