This paper describes the steps a standard worker has to go through in order to work with CDMA200 1x base station of the Mobile System department of Capitel. I enhance the understand to the entire network from the R&D, especially in communication system platform.Element Management System plays a key role in Networks Management System and relates nearly with equipments. As special equipment, the management system of CDMA2000 Base Station Subsystem has special aspect. The application of IPOA in BSS makes its EMS character with both NMS of ATM networks and NMS of IP networks. The most important function of configuration module in NMS is keeping consistence of equipment information and parameter information of equipment with MIB. It is particularly important when equipment is changed. How can I add and delete equipment expediently and keep this consistence? That is what I want to present. This paper is just about the practice that how automatics configuration module is implied in the implementation of the Element Management System of Capitel Inc's CDMA2000 1X Base Station. The paper can be divided into five main parts: the preface, the general view of Network Management technology, the introduction of ATM, the design and implementation of parameters automatics configuration module. Besides, I discuss a general view about the defect of system designs and give some my suggestion of improvement.The centre of Operation and maintenance System play a vital role in the base station. The consideration for improving Operation and Maintenance in real-time, effective and easy method is always what people study in. This paper is focus on the parameters re-configuration design of parameters logical and physical parameters when add or remove some devices. Also a full proposal for the entire system has been submitted. My work can be listed as following: Be familiar with the structure and model of network management of CDMA 2000 1x;Learning the scheme of communication platform of CDMA 2000 1x;Master ATM principle and application;Design auto-configuration model;System integration test and data analysis;Improvement discussion;The effectivity scheme is only mentioned in theoretic but practice way.
