The Army Personnel Management System

ASP is a script language running on the server. It is the link of all the Microsoft technology. ASP language can be used to run applications, implement business logic, call ActiveX control, such as database query, file management and other services. HTML tags, script and ActiveX control can be tied together easily to make dynamic page, create interactive website in ASP language.Dynamic page technology is composed of: Using scripting language to program dynamic page, and saving these scripts in web server which have executing ability. When users request page in the server from browsers, the web server will response user's request using some program engine according to the suffix. The engine will execute the command from request, implement business logic and return the result to user's web browser.ODBC is database operation's standard develoives a group of specific and standard interface to utility relation database. SQL language can be used through ODBC, so ODBC is powerful for database operation. To use ODBC, DSN must be created in the system. ODBC can only be used in windows operation system.Internet information server, abbreviation is IIS, is a web server running in windows operation system. It can supply some web services, such as WWW, FTP. It's part of Windows Server Family. IIS support ASP, the default ASP's language Is VBScript. IIS also support PHP and JSP implement by Third Party Company. Computers are equipped in company in the information century. Network has developed very well. But software of modern information manager system is developing now; there are lots of works to do.This paper describes a SQL Server database system, ASP programming, basic technologies of VBScript, ASP and database interaction methods, and how to use these approaches to implement the Army Personnel Management system.According to the system design process, the paper expressed the overall design of the Flowchart and the key code. Then, in accordance with analysis, database design, system interface design sequence. This paper described in detail the entire system design process and how to solve Actual problems.This paper has designed five tables in the fourth chapter。They are the users table and the news table and the military personnel information table and the message table and the message table and the message reply table. This system consists of prospects and the background of two major categories. They are a total of seven modules.SQL server, ASP, VBScript is discussed in this paper. How to use these technologic in developing The Army Management System is discussed in the detail. The Army Management System selects Microsoft SQL Server and Active Server Page (ASP). It also selects IIS as its web service container. The cost of this system is low; this system can be used in Windows98, Windows2000, and Windows XP. The characteristic of this system is:1. It can be operated and managed easily. The operation mode is friendly. And the management is simple.2. The cost of extend is low. The system is using B/S model. It's easy to extend. Lots of subsystem, such as information subsystem, work briefing subsystem can be added quickly and separately.3. It's security.The input is checked carefully, and role manage subsystem can avoid unauthorized operation.
