High quality, high capability and wide overlay are desired in modern satellitecommunication. Many new technologies have been used in communication satellite, andmulti-beam antenna was one of thenm.Multi-beam antenna which is an important part in satellite has been thought a lot ofby scientists and engineers in other countries and it has been used in many kinds ofsatellites. This new technology has been developed just few years in our country, butwith the developments of the communicate satellites technologies, the requirementsabout multi-beam antenna used on communicate satellites are more and more sharp. This thesis at first discusses the basic principles, configurations and keytechnologies of the multi-beam antenna. Through the theoretic analysis about theprinciple of beam-form, we found that the phase shift and amplitude variety have a veryimportant effect on direction and cover range of beam, and the RF multi-receiver is justone of the most important sources about these errors. So we set up model and simulatethe effect of the errors from RF multi-receiver, and conclude the elnendation target. Inorder to make the beam satisfies the system requirements, correction module isabsolutely necessarily. After the theoretical analysis of the correction system inmulti-beam antenna, the thesis presents a correction way based on the adaptive algorithm.Grounded on the simulations, correction modules applicable for receive antenna andtransmit antenna are presented. And in allusion to a mini-multi-beam antenna sample weare developing now, a primary correction module is realized in the Field ProgrammableGate Array (FPGA).
