Satellite communication is a powerful supplement to ground communication systems. With its wide coverage, long communication distance, and unaffected by geographical conditions,it has gradually been widely used and has developed rapidly in the new era. However,in the face of the effects of various electromagnetic radiations, satellite communication is disturbed during the work process, which makes it difficult to guarantee the quality of communications, causing varying degrees of impact and economic loss. Therefore, how to quickly and accurately find the posiotion of the interference source has become an urgent problem in engineering. This paper compares the disadvantages of some traditional mature interference source location, and introduces the structure of space-borne multi-beam antenna and its advantages of co-frequency multiplexing and high carrier noise ratio. Therefore, the method of single-satellite interference source location based on the spaceborne multi-beam antenna is proposed. Then, the antenna gain model is constructed on the spaceborne coordinate system, and the directional equations are established based on the difference in the receiver gain of different beams. The positioning model is constructed on the earth-fixed coordinate system. The method of transforming to spaceborne coordinate system is proposed, and the positioning equations can be obtained by combining the incident direction of the interference source. Then the principle and steps of particle swarm algorithm are introduced and improved, which can reduce time complexity. The algorithm is used to solve the directional and positioning equations, which can find the position of the interference source.Due to the existence of the gain error in the positioning method, increasing the number of co-frequency beams is propoeed to reduce the positioning error.Based on the proposed method, the theoretical analysis is performed, and the root mean square of the positioning error is derived. Finally, the positioning error is simulated when the interference source is near the sub-satellite point and far away from the sub-satellite point. It is concluded that the positioning error caused by receiver gain error and single beam center pointing error can be reduced by increasing the number of co-frequency beams.Thereby reducing the impact on positioning accuracy.
