Software Reuse Technique And Its Research And Application In MIS

Software reuse is a technique that software resources created in proceeding software activities can be reorganized and employed in current system development. It can improve efficiency and quality of software development. In the recent ten years, object-oriented technology has appeared and become a mainstream technology, thereby providing fundamental technology support for software reuse. It makes software reuse regain more attention in soil-ware engineering research and be considered a practical and feasible approach to solving the soil-ware crisis and improving software productivity and quality.According to the development state at home and abroad and the theories and techniques of the component-based sottware reuse, software reuse is studied in detail in this paper. The main points are as the follows.1.The development state of software reuse technique at home and abroad is described. Then that it will be a milestone of software development is pointed out.2.The basic concepts of software reuse technique are introduced. The process of software reuse is analyzed. And its economic analysis is studied from the effects on three aspects of quality, productivity and cost. Two cost estimation methods are induced. And it provides the theoretical basis for cost estimation when software reuse is applied.3.Some component standards are illustrated on the basis of software reuse component technique. And COM+, CORBA and EJB are analyzed and contrasted. Then components are implemented based on COM+ standard in EPSIMS successfully.4.The analysis and comparison are made between component-based development method of MIS and its traditional software development method. And a component-based development model of MIS is established.5.The component-based software reuse technique is applied in the design of Enterprise Purchase, Sale and Inventory Management System(EPSIMS) successfully according to the feature and development practice of MIS.
