Study On The Technology Of Software Reuse Based On Component

Software reuse is a kind of countermeasure for serious increasingly "software crisis"andcomplexing software requirement in software trade. The technology of software reusedevelops rapidly with the application of oriented-object technology and distributed-objecttechnology, and the technology of software reuse based on component is the most successfulimplement in software reuse. This paper introduces the historical background, summarization, and key technology ofsoftware reuse, and specifies the component technology in detail from the definition,classification, characteristic, getting, evaluation and management of component, module ofcomponent, description language of component. The implement of component technology isdiscussed, and the applied characteristic of three main distributed-object technology in thesoftware component is analyzed and compared in the paper. The method and cycle of development based on software component is studied in the paper,and a module of software architecture based on the domain of UIPIS (Underground IntegratedPipelines Information System) is produced through the domanial analysis of UIPIS. The ideaof design for the module is on the basis of COM+'s characteristic of fine transaction processand distributed component serve, and is accord with architecture of COM+, which directs thedevelopment of component and software in the fields from the field of software componentarchitecture. Ultimately, some instances of UIPIS based on component development isexpressed in the paper.
