The Design And Implementation Of JXTA-based Instant Cooperative Work System

Appearance of Peer-To-Peer(P2P) technology gives Cooperative Work System more opened foreground. In P2P architecture, every peer can communicate directly instead of having to go through a central server, that avoid lots of fault because of server bottleneck.JXTA defines a series of protocols for P2P architecture, it can handle all problems when building P2P network system, JXTA also offer a uniform platform for developing P2P network system.This project has made research and discussed on JXTA-based Instant Cooperative Work System (ICWS). The author's paper work mainly includes:Comparing and analyzing actual cooperative work systems in home and abroad on models, features and developing techniques, analyzing the requirements and actual significance of developing JXTA-based Instant Cooperative Work System.Discussing in depth some new features and key techniques available in JXTA-based Instant Cooperative Work System design. Making the analysis to ICWS prototype system, the system overall design and the function modules design, under the framework of JXTA-based Instant Cooperative Work System.We proposed peer group with password membership services, and implementaion algorithm of joining in the peer group is put forward. Discovering peers in a peer group is discussed in detail. We researched theory of instant communication between peers, gave key algorithm of two communicated ways: text message chat and audio chat. We offered personal memo according to XML format. By utilizing CMS, we can share, search and download files in a peer group. Besides, we discussed system management without server, and complete parts of system management function.Finally, testing and analyzing the test results to ICWS prototype. Verifying the original designing thoughts, and giving out a conclusion.
