Research Of Autoleveller Control System On Gill Box

The evenness of Yarn is one of the most critical factors in the quality of yarn. The control of yarn's evenness lives entirely with the process of spinning. Autoleveller device plays an important part in the control of yarn's evenness. However, the domestic development on autoleveller device is still far behind the foreign advanced technology. At present, the industry of textile machinery in our country is on the edge of updating. Numerous of wool spinning enterprises are eager for a gill box autoleveller that could meet the needs of practical use, and combines the characteristics of advanced technology, relatively lower cost as well as better evenness of Yarns together.The main content of this paper is to put forward a new type of open-loop autoleveller control system on the basis of researches of autoleveller principles, which is designed for gill boxes. This system use Microchip's 8-bit MCU PIC16F877A as its core, the combination of concavo-convex roller and high-precision displacement sensor as the detecting mechanism to detect the thickness of the feeding top wool, Using frequency control achieve Leveling. The front and back rollers are all equipped with high-precision speed measuring devices. Besides above mentioned, the system is also equipped with a 128 x 64 dot matrix LCD screen and four keys. The interface is friendly looking and easy to operate. According to the modular-based designing idea, the system was divided into six modules as following: the MCU control module, the roller speed measuring module, the thickness detect module, the human-machine interface module, the speed adjusting module, the fixed-length sampling module .This paper designed a autoleveller control system and put forward some new designing methods. The system have applicable values not only on gill boxes, but also on cotton spinning equipments, such as drawing frames and cotton openers.
