The Design And Development Of University's Population Information Resource Management System Based On Internet

With the development and prevalence of IT, constructing "University Resource Plan" becomes the inevitable trend of integration of our national university's resources and to be in line with international best universities. University's population information resource management system is an important part of "university resource plan"; Scientific population information resource management system can make "information resource" being collected and updated in time, managed reasonably and used fully. However, at present most of our national university's population information resource management is still at departmentalization stage, not "overall unified population information resource management system". This situation will lead to "information island" and information loss. So, designing and developing an "overall unified population information resource management system" is very important to university's short-term construction and long-term plan and development.Based on the comparison of "the common developing methods of management information system, developing and applying network technology in information management system, the types of database", this paper chooses Oracle9i relationship database system as background database, IIS (Internet Information Server) as WEB server, and uses ASP(Active Server Pages)to exchange system dynamically, FrontPage as web editor, and uses B/S structure , distributed data base, uses ADO(ActiveX Data Object) to establish OLE DB(Object Linking and Embedding Data Base Connection)to connect database to design "University's Population Information Resource Management System Based on Internet". Also, this paper applies this system in HuaZhong Agriculture University's population information resource management system initially.This paper includes seven parts: part 1 describes the importance and necessity of this study; part 2 introduces the main recent advances on population information resource management research at home and abroad, also demonstrates the problem that this study want to solve; part 3 reviews the technologies that used in population information management system and management information system; the 4th, 5th, 6th parts are the key points in this thesis and demonstrate "the overall design of university's population information resource management system", the "developing tools" concretely, also introduce the system configuration, software environment, database connect, main page makeup, function module source code editing, then used HuaZhong Agriculture university's graduate students' main information to state the operations; part 7 summarizes this study's specialties and the issues that still need to improve.
