With the development of mining equipment technique and the advance of mining mechanization extent, electrical equipments are used increasingly under the mining and their protection demand is higher and higeher. Mining Comprehensive Protector is an important part of the mining power monitor and control system.This paper researches the application of embedded system on coal mining integrated protector and analyses the concrete achievement of emvedded system's design methods.This paper adopts embedded design, i.e. software and hardware harmonized method, hardware design is presented together with this part's corresponding software design. There are mostly two innovative points in this kind of integrated protector: 1) The veracities of protection and estimation have improved markedly, because feasible protective strategies are implemented through the analysis of various protective strategies'theory; 2) This protector, which is based on CAN bus communication protocol, has changed software design of primary fore-and-aft mode. It has improved on the former protector. In this paper, not only are new theories researched and applicated, but also Mining Comprehensive Protector reaches the product technique demand.Firstly, the future of the embedded system is showed through its definition introduction. Secondly, the embedded system's development method, hardware and software development environment are illustrated. Then, the paper processes requirement analysis for this project, and expounds the whole development idea and working principle, besides, the design and working principle of the main function component are illuminated via modularized mode in detail. In these elucidations, CAN bus network's features and design are especially introduced. Finally, this paper makes a summing-up for encountered problems in research, and proposals reasonable ameliorated orientation.
