Information Integrated System of Cross-School Library is a simple way in effectivelypromoting resource utilization and economical purchase for small and medium-sized librariestoday to realize information sharing and interlibrary loan service. Mutual understanding andsmooth passing among schools, a key to book sharing with the precondition of keeping bookmanagement system and database unchanged, help settle similar information integration systembased on cross-platform. This paper aims at designing and establishing a real InformationIntegrated System through which book resources in each library can be shared on oneinformation platform. Major aspects as following:Establishing a data sharing platform. Book information will be transformed to codinginformation with a unified format by means of a translation mechanism, with which clientprogram possibly channel the coding information in the platform into data base for sharing. InCnmarc format from National Cataloguing Center, the mechanism encodes and decodes data bycreating database relational tables corresponding Cnmarc in client side.Designing a transmission system based on TCP/IP protocol and Socket component, to setupcommunication platform in C/S mode, develop independent server and client and realizeinteractive communication and data transmission between client and server. The implementationof Non-blocking I/O mode in the development of communication system will solve thebottleneck of communication performance. The interlibrary loan service in the integrated systemwill be realized by setting up database to record the information of exchanging books.The above effort is made for a practical application to information integrated system ofbooks; realize data sharing and transmission server of cross-school library on the basis ofunchanged original database and management system.
