At present, precision agriculture is a new tide of modern agriculture ,and it has been applied extensively. In our country, it has made great progress in this field, but many problems are still in existence, especially in the field of remote agriculture data acquisition. It is absent in the extreme of technology for information acquisition and communication faced to the farmer. Generally, it is inconvenience to get and transmit the agriculture data in time, which results in laggard development and application in precision agriculture, and also leads to important factor for low agriculture level in a long-term period, in our country. Therefore, the agricultural data acquisition system is needed imperatively to resolve the present problem, improve the accuracy and real-time requirement of agricultural data transmission, provide the convenience for user at the same time.The agricultural data acquisition system based on embedded system makes use of advanced wireless communication technology, GPS(Global Positioning System) and embedded system to resolve the problem of remote data requisition. The thesis focuses on the embedded system, and present and analyze the key technology to implement the system. It acquires the spot information about longitude, latitude, time and agriculture data and transmits the information to the control center by message, then information is analyzed and processed by control center. Consequently, the results provide the decision support for agriculture production process. The system can resolve the problem of data acquisition and transmission. The costs to construct and maintain communication net are decreased by using it. Generally speaking, it is important role of modern agriculture.The thesis analyses systemically correlative theories and new technologies for establishing system of embedded Linux, and summarize the general method. According to the method, an embedded system based on ARM &μClinux is being successfully. Furthermore, the application programs of GPS and GSM message on embedded system are achieved, at the same time, the key technology of the system is researched. LPC2210 of using ARM7TDMI IP (Intellectual Property ) is introduced as MPU, and hardware resources on board are used sufficiently. The implementation of embedded software is emphasized. The followings are main achievement:(1) The embedded Linux kernel is emphasized specially and transplanted for hardware system, and also the design and transplant of relevant drivers, file system are analyzed and realized finally.(2) Based on embedded system, the principle and function of GPS and GSM message service are discussed, and application programs based on those theories are come true ultimately.(3) The thesis aims to the problem of GUI (Graphic User Interface) based on embedded system, chooses the MiniGUI to be middleware by comparing the different products for embedded Linux GUI. Based on MiniGUI architecture and its other aspects, the technique of porting MiniGUI and program to board is given in detail.Using embedded system to agriculture data acquisition and transmission is innovation. It is mainly discussed feasibility and technique to solve the key problems. Based on multithreading and real-time of Linux, the problems about parallel communication and proceeding of multitask are solved, which safeguards the stability, reliability and improve the speed of system.
