Design And Implementation Of Regional Container Logistics Information System

Container transportation is a modern transportation way which is new and advanced. It can ensure the safety of the goods, shorten the decking time, speedup the turnaround, save goods package, and predigest the transportation procedure. It is the"Transportation Revolution"in 20th century. The railway container transportation in China has been developed fast. However, compared with the overseas fellows, there is still a big gap in transportation gross and market share. There is a new opportunity for China Railway Container to develop, but still with many problems, such as low information integration level, weak in the marketing ability, problems in the containers management, weak in the container multimodal transport etc.Based on the research of the modern logistics, the current status of the railway container transportation and the analysis of the workflow, a concept of the Regional Container Logistics System was proposed, and the design model and implementation principles were also given. Finally, the Chongqing Railway Container Logistics Information System was introduced by this dissertation.The main aspects of this dissertation are:①Research of the current situations and trends. Investigate the actuality of modern logistics, including the theory, technology and informatization, focusing on the railway container logistics. Deeply analyzed the situation, problems and informatization level of internal railway container logistics, especially on the procedure and the mechanism. Then put forward the concept of the regional container management combined with the organizational structure characteristics of the China Railway Container Transport Company.②Proposed regional container logistic system design model, which was the core of the article. The main points of the model is"five facing, one support", that is: facing the modern logistics, facing the container marketing, facing the container management, facing the intelligence scheduling and the statistical decision, facing the information integration and realizing the support of the station logistics information system. The dissertation also researched the implementing strategy of the logistic system.③Research on the key technologies of container logistic system. The paper did a deep research on information integration technology and development. And also discussed VPN(virtual private networks ) and XML/EDI data interactive technology. ④Through the investigating of the user demands and directed by the design model, author development and implement the Chongqing railway container logistics information system. Developed with J2EE architecture and MVC model, the system has the advantage of high– efficiency, stability, safe and extensible. The system especially considered the users'custom, and boosted the usability of the system, improved the user experience.Regional container logistics system was directed by the logistic theory, basing on the actual procedure and the mechanism, over considering about the user experience, adopting the advanced framework and technology, and integrating the current system in most degree. It is a good support to strengthen the marketing ability and the management of the container.
