Cardiovascular disease is one of disease which is thratening human being's life.Going with the increase of aging in China, heart disease becomes a worthy problem to be payed more attention. With the development of ECG Telemonitor system , the cardiovascular disease patients can be possible to obtain the prompt effective treatment. The telemonitor is one kind of method which carries on the long-distance monitor to the human body physiology parameter to analyze the far-end guardianship object state of health. It is the foundation of long-distance medical service realization. In recent yeas, the telemonitor technology has become a extremely important research area in the worldwide scale. As a kind of precious medicine resources , the ECG database has the important value to the medical research, the clinical diagnosis, disease process and the prognosis judgment.The research work of this paper mainly encompass the user information and ECG data management and the compress algorithm of ECG data, the mainly work is as follows:1) On the foundation of analysis and studies to kinds of domestic and foreign telemonitor system principle and database technonogy, the paper selected MySQL, open source database system, to establish the management system of the ECG telemonitor. The database establishment follows the software development engineering standard, has carried on the detailed elaboration to the database design process. The database system is completed based on the ECG telemonitor system which developed by this laboratory, and has realized a effective management to the user information and the collected data.2) Because of the large quantity of the collected ECG data by the system, there needs a highly effective compression algorithm to compress the data to saves data transmission band width and the data storage. Meanwhile, the real-time characteristic is important so that the algorithm should be fast as far as possible. This paper has studied the tradition statistical coding (the Huffman coding and so on) and the dictionary coding (LZ series coding) in the foundation and made the improvement to carry out a more effective variable-length dictionary coding to improve the compression ratio. After analysis of the specialty of collected ECG data, this paper carried out another effective predictor coding which profited from the JPEG compression coding predictor method. This method obtained a higher compression ratio aimed at the high sampling rate ECG data. 3) In the data transmission protocol aspect, this paper has also made the corresponding modification to adapt the database request. The data transmission has used the data compression algorithm to save the network band width well. Simultaneously, because the two kind of compression algorithms both use variable-length coding, it is impossible to decode correctly when not know the compression principle. It also played the role of encryption.4) In the software aspect, this paper has separately realized the ECG database management system and the compression coding algorithm with VC.
