In recent years, cell phones as mobile communication tool areplaying an increasingly important role in people's work and life. With therapid expansion of the cell phone market, competition among the cellphone manufacturers are becoming more and more intense. And no doubtit is a very important step to rapidly develop low-cost and functional cellphone for the various user groups. But the process of mobile phonedevelopment is very complicated, in order to reduce developing cycle, itis absolutely necessary to apply appropriate software and hardwareplatform in priticular MMI software development platform.This paper introduces the current situation of MMI softwaredevelopment adopted by main mobile development companies in Chinaand analyses its disadvantages. To improve the efficiency of MMIsoftware development, a technique is brought up to develop MST whichdivides the customized characters from working code completely.Firstly, the design of whole system is discussed. Then the paperintroduces the principle of the function implementation, analyses thewhole structure, points out the test methods and explains that therealization of all targets is involved in the MST software on PC and theARM program on Mobile Phone.Secondly, the paper discusses the MST software on PC and the ARMprogram on Mobile Phone respectively. And it analyses the clients'demand, clarifies the design mentality, explaines the developmentplatform and important data structures, brings forward the general designand finishes the structure design, function design and realization inmobile phone product. The system divides the customized charactersfrom working code so completely that different software vision has thealmost same working code and customized part can be realized bydownloading different bin file into the top data region. Thereby, a pieceof working code can match more MMI scheme.Finally, the thesis introduces Jinli A30 mobile phone product whereMST is used. The implementation of products demonstrates that the MST system distinctly improves the efficiency of MMI software developmentso that the mobile products have much brighter future.
