Postal system is an important part of traditional logistics industry. However, there are some deficiencies in current systems, such as monotony, low-additional-value, simple service modes and so on. It is necessary to design logistics information system using modern logistics management theory. Postal logistics information system designed for Hunan Post in this thesis is a logistics information system based on hybrid mode of C/S and B/S. It can effectively and quickly implement customer resource management, optimal scheduling and monitoring for logistics distribution, stock and finance management, and business performance management. Then, it can achieve networking and electronic postal logistics distribution. Thus, the customer-centric business flow is constructed. In this thesis, the advanced computer technologies are adopted in the development of postal logistics information system. This system closely meets various requirements of Hunan Post System and will greatly promote the development of Hunan Post.In this thesis, the foundation of logistics information system is analyzed and the current deficiencies of Hunan postal logistics operation are pointed out firstly. Based on it, the significance of design for "postal logistics information system based on hybrid mode of C/S and B/S" is explained. Aiming at the content and specialties of integrated postal logistics business, the new idea of designing the system using the hybrid mode concerning C/S and B/S is proposed. Then, the design schemes of the system are introduced in details in this thesis, which includes the whole structure of the system as well as functional description and business flow design of four key subsystems. Meanwhile, aiming at the deficiencies of current routing-optimization algorithms in the city logistics distribution subsystem, a novel double ant colony optimization algorithm HLLACO is presented. It can solve the distribution network weight model with constrained conditions, implement efficient transporting scheduling and city distribution, and has more improvement than the similar optimization methods. In addition, according to the design schemes, the implementation process of communication mode, interface design, and safety design are introduced briefly. Moreover, service platform of move operation for postal logistics XMove, which is a typical extended application of the logistics information system, is also introduced. It shows the good application foreground of the system designed in this thesis. Finally, the developed system is summarized and the future working tasks are proposed.
