The Application Of GPRS Network In Post System

The bank card, as a kind of new-type comprehensive financial means of payment, is the result of combination between traditional financial transaction and modern information technology. ATM, as the window of banks providing quick and effective self-service for customers has been extensively accepted by domestic financial institution and customer. However, the shortcoming of traditional ATM with indirect connectivity appears gradually, such as the absence of unified technical standard, the more transaction links, low operational efficiency and high fault rate.This thesis introduces a wireless ATM auto-service system with direct connectivity based on GPRS technology. It has overcome all sorts of shortcomings of traditional ATM with indirect connectivity, and has improved the environment of using card. It increases the successful rate of the transaction as well. The wireless GPRS gateway forms a wireless channel of VPN between ATM and enterprise networks. It solves the security of the network and requirement of the data privacy inside enterprises and improves flexibility and mobility of ATM.The whole system includes four parts: ATMC, ATM Preprocessing (ATMP), monitoring and managing system based on Browser/Server model and GPRS gateway.The design and implementation of the system has filled the blank on establishment of ATM direct connective network system in our country. Moreover, it offers a good experimental tool for researchers of bank card who manage to pursue multidimensional ATM investing body and specialization of ATM service.
