The Design And Realization Of Protocol Stack Controller In TD-SCDMA Terminal Test Set

Paper presents the work that author has taken when participated in the project of Development of TD-SCDMA Terminal Test Set SP6010. This Test Set integrates and achieves the functions of system simulator, signal generator and signal analyzer, and can accomplish terminal RF conformance test. In this project, author has participated in project investigation, specification and requirement, system design, software development and integration, focusing on realization of L3, including implementation of protocol stack controller and simulation of the signaling function of RRC and NAS with scripts.The primary contents of this paper are described as follows.1. Introduce the development of mobile communication system, especially the TD-SCDMA system.2. Describe the definitions and the status quo of TD-SCDMA terminal conformance test. And then describe the system architecture of Test Set SP6010 and the RF measurements it supports.3. Research the protocol of TD-SCDMA. First analyse the protocol stack architecture of TD-SCDMA and summarize L3 signalling procedures. And then propose the signalling processes which SP6010 needs to implement.4. Discuss the entity and task assignments based on the system architecture and protocol analysis. Furthermore, elaborate on the design and implementation of protocol stack controller module in SP6010.The content of the paper has been applied in the design and implementation of the SP6010. Up to now, SP6010 has passed a lot of verification, and has been used in many TD-SCDMA IC and terminal manufacturers.
