Research Of Test Method For TD-SCDMA Terminal Protocol Stack Software

TD-SCDMA is the 3rd generation mobile telecommunication standard of which china has independent intellectual property rights. The research and development of TD-SCDMA terminal is a key issue to TD-SCDMA industrialization. Protocol stack software is one of the most important modules for terminal software. Without a stable and reliable protocol stack, communication requirement of users can not be satisfied well, and communication quality of users can not be guaranteed. Therefore, research of test method of TD-SCDMA protocol stack software to guarantee quality of terminal protocol stack software, is significant in the process of TD-SCDMA industrialization.In this thesis, firstly, software and hardware architecture of TD-SCDMA terminal are introducted. Secondly, the structure, function and communication mechanism of TD-SCDMA terminal protocol stack are investigated in details. Next, according to the charateristic of TD-SCDMA terminal protocol stack software project, combining theory of software project and theory of software test and experience from several terminal software projects, a test module and a set of test methods which can improve the quality and efficiency of TD-SCDMA protocol stack software test are proposed. Then, a method which can optimize test case set of TD-SCDMA protocol stack software system test is proposed. Finally, based on characteristic of software and hardware architecture of TD-SCDMA terminal, a software and hardware cooperation test method, which includes high layer protocol signal tracing, physical layer monitoring and program playback is developed, and validation of this method is proven.
