Nowadays, the broadband wireless individual is the main trend. As the wired access system, the wireless access system changed from narrowband to broadband, from voice-oriented to data-oriented and multimedia. With the portion of data business becomes more and more, especially the development of Internet technology, the present wired access network can hardly satisfy our need of broadband business. So, the wireless access is very needed in the market. Meanwhile, with the opening of telecom market and the coming of new operators, the complexion of competition among several rivals has settled. To the new operators, wireless broadband access system is their important choice. According to the integrated resolution of current market state and technology development level, we get such a conclusion, implementation of integrated broadband access system with the current resources is the best technology strategy for firmed operator to step into the mobile market. In the aspect of network management, out native main mode of network management is the COM port mode, or Ethernet network management based self-defined protocols. The level is much lower than foreign products'. For the manufacturers, once the device can support SNMP protocol, it has the consitent passport. As a communication device, iBAC must has a widest application scale. In order to apply the present technology trend, the laggard situation of our device must be broken. So, make the iBAC support SNMP protol is a necessary choice. To the characteristics of a important project in CNGI, iBAC, it is very significant to research and develop a set of network management system which can support SNMP protocol based on XML technology.
