In view of the insufficiency with the wired access to Internet, this thesis researches a scheme about the method basing on the GPRS wireless network for accessing to Internet. With the features of broad cover and high rate of data output, it is convenient to connect the equipments with Internet and suitable to apply in the open industry scene or some facility which holds back the wired way.Taking the monitoring system of street light as the example, this article introduces the process of monitoring nodes in detail, and analyzes the transmission in the GPRS network. The main functions of this system is to set the time of turning on or turning off lights for the sunrise or sunset time, the monitoring nodes carries on real-time sampling by the voltage transformer and the current transformer to analyze and store all road sections street light electric parameter. The monitoring nodes enters Internet through the GPRS network, gathers the operational parameter and pass to the monitoring center. The monitoring center may inquiry different long-distance monitoring nodes in order, thus get the information of the equipment's running state.This thesis refers to several points as follows:1) It analyzes common ways of data transmission and determines a plan of long-distance transmission basing on the technology of GPRS2) After schematic diagrams design, printed circuit boards design and elements jointing, it achieves some circuits including the circuit for gathering the parameters of nodes, the circuit for monitoring the state of switch and the relay circuit. These realize the action of storing and reading datum, the control of switch, the operation of timing as well as the data transmission. Each node connects with Internet and communicates with monitoring centre through the network of GPRS.3) It designs the security of system and ensures the reliability of datum transmission from two aspects: the network of GPRS and VPN. After testing and analyzing the rate of package loss and datum delay, the article puts forwards related solution.
