Study On Distributed Educational Management Information System

With the prevalence of Internet/Intranet technology, the institutional framework of educational management demonstrates the plural, distributed,network-melting trend. The educational management information system should be adapted to the distributed calculating environment. Therefore the architecture,technological foundation and application platform of the educational management information system take place great changes than before. The informization of educational management is developing quickly, which relies on information technology deeply. So it is significative to research the design and development of flexible, extendable, distributed educational management information system.This thesis introduces the three processes of design, development and application in distributed teaching management system. In the beginning, it illuminates us the positive effect which the distributed teaching management system does in promoting the education reform and enhancing the managemental efficency, focusing on the current situation of the distributed hiberarchy in teaching management as well as the hiberarchy model which bases on the web distributed information management system. Meanwhile, in the middle of the thesis, it mainly focuses on the design processes of the distributed information management system, which includes the preparation period before system development, the demand analyse of the system, the whole design of the system and the testings of the system based on ASP & SQL Server. Moreover, in the last part of the thesis, it mainly brings out the problems both solved and unsolved during development and application in distributed teaching management system, which, obviously, puts up good gists for the development and a wilder application of distributed teaching management system both in theoretically and practically.The system which is based on campus network improves the management of the school's Dean's office and Department of Students. It suppliesdata for the educational information thus promotes the process of the information and put sharing of resource virtually.
