With the development of the object-oriented technology and distributed computing and continuous penetration of computer application, the complexity and high usability of enterprise to the use and integration of application in different platforms, that means better security, broader adaptability, better retractility and convenient maintenance. The article have a detailed introduction and analysis to existing distributed object technology and tiered architecture, compares the advanced development of CORBA technology with other main distributed technology, shows the advantage of developing distributed system using CORBA. At the same time with the technology background of the character of distributed object computing, tiered architecture conception, object-oriented technology and CORBA specification, discuss a kind of development method of multi-tier distributed application system based with CORBA compute model, furthermore brings the realization scheme with the example of SxGym. This development scheme is based with the Delphi object-oriented development tool, integrate the advantage of multi-tier C/S and B/S architecture, see the core of application system as a integration of a set of services, every service is consisted of many CORBA components stayed in different physically sites, these components may be multi-used by required application. The Whole application system have the character of easier integration, easier flexibility, facing multi users, broader extension, security. So have a good instruction signification to development distributed applicationsystem or integrate existing application system for enterprise.
