Integrating Agent And Semantic Web Services

In recent years, as the fast development of the e-commerce, more and more people focus on the Web services. Web services can satisfy the user's need in a larger extent because of the benefit from the active building of the Agent, the communication based on semantic layer,the ability of judgment and reason and the features of flexibility and robustness. However, it is a still difficult work to put the two kinds of techniques together effectively in a more extensive area.Discussion is made about the basic concepts about the semantic Web service and Agent and their relationship. Through the analysis and comparing of the works to put Agent and semantic Web service together done by the other researchers, a new platform is designed to put the Agent and semantic Web service together.There are two parts in our work:integrating Agent and Semantic Web,integrating Agent and Semantic Web Services.We use OWL to describe content of Agent message and import ACL ontology in our first part ;We import a special Agent(Web Services Agent) to bridge Agent and Web Services in our second part. Consumer Agent encapsulates user's intentions, and ultimately invoks Web Services.In addition, we add the information of semantics. Meanwhile, through cooperation of multi-Agents, our platform could finish the complex works when a sigle Agent can not do. In this way, both the QoS(quality of service) and flexibility of the platform are improved.
